Shelbyville woman faked kidnapping

Susita Darjee, 23, was found safely in Nashville with family members.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. -

Shelbyville police said a woman who was believed to have been abducted late Wednesday night has been safe and it was determined she faked her own kidnapping.

According to police, 23-year-old Susita Darjee was located with her family in Nashville on Thursday.

Police said it appears the woman provided false information to a friend who she was meeting late Wednesday to indicate she was possibly abducted.

No charges have been filed.
