NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Police are investigating after a pursuit ended in a crash Thursday morning and police say the driver may be a suspect in a shooting that occurred a couple weeks earlier.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at 1st Avenue South and Chestnut Street, just south of downtown Nashville.
Police told Nashville's News 2 an officer attempted to pull the driver over a few blocks up the road and the driver evaded the officer.
Just seconds later, the driver crashed the vehicle.
Police believe he may be a suspect linked to a shooting that occurred a couple weeks prior to the crash and took him into custody for questioning.
No further details were immediately released.
