A Murfreesboro man accused of raping a four-year-old girl remains jailed and police believe there could be additional victims.
According to the Daily News Journal, Jason Burns was taken into police custody on a single count of child rape last Thursday.
The newspaper reported police began investigating the 38-year-old man in July.
Police have determined through their investigation there could be additional victims dating back as far as 2002.
Police spokesperson Kyle said authorities believe Burns had a "familial relationship with the parents of each of his suspected victims."
"We know there are other victims because he told us during an interview that this [four-year-old girl] was not his first or only victim," Evans told the newspaper.
Police have not said how many other victims there could be.
Parents who believe their child may have been victimized is urged to contact police at 615-893-2717.
