Body found in wooded area in Montgomery County

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies are investigating the discovery of a man's body Tuesday afternoon in the woods off Harper Road, south of Sango.

Sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Ted Denny said Deputies and investigators found the man dead around 2 p.m. after going into the woods where the man was reportedly living.

Denny said the man's body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Nashville for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The man's identity was not immediately released.
