ABC's 'Nashville' premieres Wednesday, millions expected to watch

Millions are expected to watch the new ABC series premiere of "Nashville" Wednesday night.

ABC's Nashville has been filming at numerous iconic and well-known venues across Music City just ahead of the series premiere.

The show is set to make its debut Wednesday night and it's expected to generate large numbers in viewership.

People around the city seem excited about the new show.

"We're interested to see where they filmed in Nashville," Kim Parks, an interior designer in Nashville, explained, adding, "I'm really interested to see how they decorated the houses on the set, if they did any research and tried to make that regional or not."

The critics have put "Nashville" on top of the fall lineup.

The New York Post said, "Nashville is arguably the best-written new TV series of the fall season."

"The hype is justified. Nashville's terrific," exclaimed Newsday.

Entertainment Weekly is calling it this year's "Best New Drama" saying, "Rarely does a pilot present a world as completely as Nashville does in its first hour."

Watch the series premiere of "Nashville" Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Nashville's News 2.
