NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Eastbound traffic on Interstate 40 west of Nashville was at a standstill Wednesday morning following a crash just past Charlotte Pike.
The wreck involved at least two vehicles and was reported around 7:10 a.m. at mile marker 202.
The roadway was blocked for over an hour.
Traffic was backed up nearly 10 miles to the McCrory Lane exit at mile marker 192.
The roadway was reported shortly after 8 a.m. although traffic in the area was still crawling as of 9 a.m.
Information about injuries was not released.
