CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - An Army veteran on a cross-country run across America to honor fallen soldiers will be traveling through Clarksville.

Mike Ehredt is a 51-year-old ultra-runner who has started his second Project America Run. His route this year will take him from Minnesota to Texas.

According to a news release from the Clarksville-Montgomery County Visitors Bureau, on Tuesday, he will be running down Highway 41A from Fort Campbell, Ky., and then on to Nashville by Wednesday.

The public is encouraged to cheer him on and show their support during his run.

For every mile he runs, he leaves an American flag with the name, rank, age and hometown of a fallen soldier. In his 2010 run, he logged over 4,400 miles from Oregon to Maine.
