Ryman Lofts began accepting applications for the new artists complex set to open in the Nashville area later this year.
Located in the Rolling Mill Hill area of downtown off Hermitage Avenue, the 60-unit complex is comprised of one and three bedroom loft-style apartments and will offer an affordable living option for musicians and artists.
The Ryman Lofts are a Metropolitan Development and Housing Authority project and will be low income housing.
Eligible artists must practice the unique creation and public display or performance of visual arts, craft, sound and performance art, theater and or dance and do so on a regular basis.
MDHA said for a single person to financially qualify, their income would have to be around $27,000.
Once the tenant qualifies financially, the artist would go before a committee that will decide if they qualify artistically.
The apartments are available on a first come, first serve.
Interest tenants can download and read the Ryman Lofts Housing Application Guidelines posted at Nashville-MDHA.org.
