Tip leads to arrest of attempted murder suspect

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police arrested an attempted murder suspect early Friday morning at a home in north Nashville.

Officers told Nashville's News 2 they had been looking for Joseph Dunlap since a grand jury indicted him.

Officers received a tip overnight he was at a home on Avondale Circle off Trinity Lane.

Police said Dunlap eventually came to the door and peacefully surrendered.

Dunlap is charged with attempted murder, robbery and possession of a weapon.

He was booked into the Metro jail on an $80,000 bond.
