Murfreesboro mobile home destroyed by fire

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Murfreesboro police are investigating after a mobile home was destroyed in a heavily-involved fire early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of Fairfax Drive off of Memorial Boulevard.

The mobile home received heavy smoke and structural damage and was reported a total loss.

According to a news release, no one was home at the time of the fire and the house was completely empty.

Officials believe the fire may have started in one of the bedroom floors, but did not immediately know the cause of the fire.

The fire Marshal was called in to further investigate.
