CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Police say alcohol could be the cause of an accident that left one person in critical condition.

Early Sunday morning, at about 2:40 a.m., police said a Pontiac G6 driven by 29-year-old Kelly Anderson struck a railroad bridge in Clarksville.

Anderson was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  She was last listed in critical but stable condition.

A passenger in the vehicle, 32-year-old Daniel Shuckhart, was taken to Gateway Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police said neither person was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
