NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A 16-year-old 11th grader at Hunters Lane High School in Nashville was arrested Friday for carrying a loaded nine millimeter semi-automatic pistol in his backpack.
The gun was found after a teacher caught the teen and another student playing a game of dice and reported it to the assistant principal.
The 16-year-old told school resource officers that he found the gun in a ditch on his way to school and was going to sell it.
The same weapon was reported stolen from a vehicle in west Nashville in October of 2011.
