Metro police arrested a man for the recent robbery of an 84-year-old Kentucky woman outside of a Nashville medical building last week. The incident involving the elderly woman and Todd Drewes occurred last Wednesday. The 46-year-old man was taken into police custody on Lafayette Street, a short time after the crime occurred. Authorities traveled to the victim's home on Thursday to show the victim a photo lineup. She positively identified Drewes as the man who shoved her to the ground and fled the scene with her purse. Drewes has also since admitted to the crime. The woman previously told authorities she and her husband were in Nashville for a medical appointment. Drewes is expected to be charged with robbery. Police said Drewes is believed to be homeless and was wanted for failing to appear on two misdemeanor citations issued in July for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest.
