Gunfire exchanged between 2 vehicles at intersection, 1 injured - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

Police said a man was injured after gun shots were exchanged between two vehicles at a Nashville intersection near Belmont University on Thursday afternoon.

The incident was reported between 14th and Wedgewood avenues around 2 p.m.

Witnesses on the scene told Nashville's News 2 after the shots were fired a black SUV and white car sped away from the scene, before the car slammed into the side of a bread truck.

The shooting victim was transported to an area hospital.

Authorities are continuing to search for the SUV.

No additional information was immediately released.
