INDIAN MOUND, Tenn. -

Three missing brothers have been found safe after an overnight search in Stewart County.

The boys, 11-year-old Justin Sudbury, 15-year-old Jason Sudbury and 16-year-old Alex Sudbury, were last seen at their home on Lee Hollow Road in Indian Mound Wednesday night.

A family friend told Nashville's News 2 the boys' mother returned home from church around 9 p.m. to find her younger sons missing.  Several items were also missing from the home.

Alex Sudbury went out to find his brothers and never returned.

A neighbor found the kids shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, not far from the family's home.

Jerry Hairston said he spotted the kids and told them to get into his truck.  He said the boys were unaware anyone was looking for them.

"No, not until I told them. They had that little blank look on their face," said Hairston.

Armed with a bow and arrow, he said they had spent the night in the woods and were on their way home because they were "hungry and tired."

Hairston took the boys to their parents who were relieved to see them.

"We saw him driving up and thought he just wanted to get more information then we saw the boys sitting in there and were like, yes, relief," the boy's mother, Amanda Sudbury told Nashville's News 2.

When asked if the boys would be in any trouble at home, Sudbury replied, "After I calm down."

A probation officer spent the afternoon at the boy's home talking to them about the incident.
