BERLIN (AP) - Police in Germany say a woman has been arrested on suspicion of killing her five newborn babies over a period of several years.
Authorities in the northern city of Flensburg say the 28-year-old has admitted killing two babies whose bodies were found in March 2006 and March 2007. The woman's identity was not released in accordance with German privacy laws.
Police said Thursday that the woman is also suspected of killing three other children shortly after they were born.
The woman was charged Wednesday with five counts of manslaughter.
