Nashville police are searching for suspects after a man, walking down the street, was hit during an exchange of gunfire Tuesday night.
The incident occurred in the 1300 block of South Street off Music Row near downtown just before 10 p.m.According to police, the victim was walking down the street when two groups of men began shooting at each other.
The man walking was hit in the ankle and was driven a few blocks away to 13th Avenue South, not far from Edgehill Avenue, by an unknown citizen.
A second citizen then took him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.
Police collected evidence where the victim was dropped off and where the shooting occurred.
Officials did not immediately release suspect descriptions and have not determined a motive for the shooting.
