Secretary charged with stealing cash from clients

A former secretary at a Maury County law office was taken into custody by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday on theft charges.

According to authorities, Kelley Dodd is accused of stealing $5,000 worth of money orders and cash from clients at an unnamed law office.

The alleged incidents occurred between October 2011 and May 2012.

The 34-year-old woman was terminated in May after the funds were discovered missing.

Dodd was booked into the Maury County jail and has since been released on a $1,000 bond.
