NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The all-clear has been given after a bomb threat Tuesday forced the evacuation of Tennessee State University's Avon Williams Campus in downtown Nashville Tuesday morning.
According to a news release from the university, the information call center at TSU received the bomb threat at approximately 9 a.m. The campus was evacuated at 9:05 a.m.
Metro police's bomb squad responded to the scene and conducted a floor by floor search.
TSU spokesperson Rick DelaHaya said the all-clear was given around 11:15 a.m.
Students, faculty and staff have been allowed to return to the building and classes have resumed as normal.
The investigation into where the threat came from is ongoing.
