NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The wife of the man who was decapitated over the summer has been charged with an accessory to the murder.

Erman Thompson was shot and killed in July. His head was discovered in a trash can outside of his home.

Thompson's adoptive son, Henry Baxter, is charged with his murder.

Ashly Thompson, Erman's wife, was indicted by a grand jury Monday for being an accessory to the murder after the fact, a Class E felony.

Prior to the murder, Erman Thompson and Baxter were allegedly fighting over Erman's wife, both of whom she had children with.

Police allege Ashley Thompson lied to them in the initial stages of the murder investigation and withheld information.

Baxter remains jailed in lieu of a $750,000 bond.

Both are expected to be arraigned in the near future.
