Fall officially started on Saturday, and this morning Middle Tennesseans awoke to the coolest temperatures so far this season.
While the official temperature in Nashville bottomed out at 42 degrees this morning, many outlying areas dropped into the 30s, like in the picture of Danny Bennett's thermometer in Bethesda, TN showing 39.8.
And in Mt. Juliet, James Ulmer's thermometer showed around 38 degrees.
And many areas in north and east middle TN were in the 30s from Paris to Clarksville to Portland, Lebanon, Cookeville, Crossville, Jamestown, and McMinnville.
And there was even some frost on some cars like in this picture of Jeff Maines' car in Dickson.
Of course, a car is a solid object and that's where the frost will form first.
Not as chilly tonight with lows in the low 50s, and daytime highs warming from mid 70s today to 80s the rest of the work week.
