Man hospitalized after stabbing at LaVergne home

LaVergne, Tenn. -

Police are continuing to investigate a stabbing that happened in LaVergne early Sunday morning, leaving the victim hospitalized.

Officers responded to the disturbance call just after 1:00 a.m. at 108 Sunset Drive.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was last listed in stable condition.

Police said alcohol is believed to have played a role in the stabbing.

No other details were released.
