1-year-old shoots self in hand, mother charged

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

The mother of a one-year-old who shot himself in the hand has been arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect.

Deshana Lisenbee bonded out of jail immediately after being charged.

Police were called to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville on Saturday afternoon after the boy shot himself at his home on Terminal Lane.

The boy was treated with non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the gun was left on the table, and when left unattended, the boy grabbed the handgun and pulled the trigger.
