Cheatham County authorities search for missing inmate

Inmate Zachary Burgess was last seen Saturday afternoon.

PEGRAM, Tenn. -

Authorities in Cheatham County are looking for an inmate who left a work detail Saturday afternoon.

Police told Nashville's News 2 the inmate, Zachary Burgess, was last seen around 2 p.m. at the Cheatham County Landfill on Sam's Creek Road in Pegram.

Police said Burgess may have gotten into a white SUV type vehicle.

Additional information was not released.
