NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Brinks Corporation is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the man who on August 28 robbed a Brinks security guard as he delivered a bag of money to the Regions Bank located at 4056 Nolensville Pike.
The driver of the armored truck stayed in the vehicle while his partner wheeled the money in a dolly toward the bank just before Noon. The suspect, without warning, pepper sprayed the guard in the face and took the bag.
The suspect is described as a white man who covered his face with plastic or latex. He is approximately five feet, 10 inches tall with a heavy to medium build.
The robber fled in a four-door, silver Pontiac Sunfire with minor damage on the right side rear bumper.
The $5,000 reward is in addition to the up to $1,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers.
Anyone with information or who recognizes the suspect car is urged to contact the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force at 615-232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word "CASH" along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES).
