A Davidson County criminal court jury on Friday found Cedric Peppers and Justin Howard not guilty in the July 2009 shooting death of 12-year-old Mikia Woodland.
The two were each charged with first degree murder.
The trial began Monday, and the jury returned around 10:15 a.m. Friday with its verdict.
Five individuals have been charged in the shooting death.
Ronald Roseman, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, pled guilty earlier this year to second degree murder and is serving a 20-year sentence.
Two other defendants still have charges pending.
Woodland was shot to death in her home on Maury Street after her grandmother was confronted by several men who broke into the home.
As the grandmother was on the phone calling police, she heard gunshots and found Mikia, who had been shot.Previous Stories:
