Man pepper sprays iPad seller, flees with device

Metro police are continuing to search for the man who pepper sprayed a victim he was scheduled to meet to buy an iPad from.

Police said the incident occurred in a parking lot in the 700 block of Old Hickory Boulevard on September 6.

According to the victim, the man contacted the seller about purchasing the device after he saw an ad on a popular social media site.

The suspect is said to have initially offered to pay $400 for the iPad before he pepper sprayed the victim, fleeing with the electronic.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s. He is around five feet, nine inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds.

He was last seen driving an older model two door gray or silver Pontiac with a sunroof.
