Tractor trailer crashes into guardrail on I-40

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -

One westbound lane of Interstate 40 in Putnam County was blocked Thursday morning after a tractor-trailer hit a guardrail.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. at mile marker 284 in Cookeville.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol told Nashville's News 2 the lane has since reopened but crews remained on the scene as of 8 a.m.

The driver was not injured.

Additional information was not released.
