Shooting leaves 1 injured in east Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

One person was seriously injured in a shooting Wednesday night in east Nashville.

The incident, involving shooting victim Eric Holt, was reported just before 8 p.m. at the CWA Plaza Apartments on South Fifth Street off Shelby Avenue.

The 22-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

He immediately underwent surgery. An update on his condition wasn't known.

The investigation is ongoing.
