A 16-year-old girl was struck by a car at her school bus stop Wednesday morning in Franklin.
The incident happened around 7:20 a.m. in the Liberty Hills Subdivision at the intersection of Liberty Hills and Freedom drives.
Eric Johnson with the Franklin Police Department said the student was struck from behind by a passing vehicle.
According to police, speed was not a factor but the driver's inability to see out his front windshield was.
The girl was not seriously injured. She transported to nearby Williamson Medical Center with back and shoulder pain.
The driver of the car, a 16-year-old boy, told police he didn't see the girl.
No charges were immediately filed.
The Liberty Hills Subdivision is zoned for Centennial High School. It is unclear where the teens attended school.
