SPRING HILL, Tenn. -
After two years of sitting idle, the General Motors plant in Spring Hill is back in business.
Officials said the new Chevrolet Equinox, which is being built at the Middle Tennessee plant, is expected to go on sale at dealerships later this week.
GM closed the Saturn plant in 2009, but officials announced a $61 million investment to upgrade the plant last November.
GM currently employs 1,800 people.
