A flood watch has been issued for southern and eastern parts of Middle Tennessee (including Nashville) through Tuesday morning. We'll have to watch for potential flooding in some low-lying spots over the next 24 hours.
Totals of 1" to 3" are possible in Nashville over the next 24 hours. Southern parts of Middle Tennessee could see 2" to 4". In eastern parts of Middle Tennessee, around the Cumberland Plateau, 3" to 5" rain totals may occur.
The fact that it's been dry much of the past week and river levels aren't high should help prevent widespread flooding issues, but we'll monitor the situation. If you live in a flood-prone spot, just keep an eye on things, especially after dark.
