Although we will only see some scattered showers on Sunday, low pressure will develop in the Gulf of Mexico and push towards Middle TN on Monday.
Monday through Monday night and early Tuesday morning we could see 1-3" of rain in Middle TN, with the highest amounts in our eastern counties (see Expected Rainfall graphic).
Nashville should see 1-2" in that time period.
Then on Tuesday, the bottom drops out.
Along with a half day of leftover showers a northwesterly wind will usher in the coldest air of the season out of northwest Canada.
Highs on Tuesday will struggle through the 60s to maybe reach 70, with lows Tuesday and Wednesday nights dropping into the 40s!
Get out the jackets!
