CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A newly licensed driver crashed her car into a Clarksville gas station Wednesday evening, causing extensive damage to the building but no injuries.

Police said Sara Kessa, 36, accidentally pushed the accelerator instead of the brake when she pulled into a parking spot at the Kangaroo Express located at 601 Tiny Town Road.

The vehicle accelerated forward and through the front glass doors.

Police said Kessa had only possessed her license for a couple of weeks and was an inexperienced.

No one inside the store or in Kessa's vehicle was injured.

No citation was issued.
