NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A Tennessee logistics company discovered two of their temporary employees were in the country illegally after doing a background check.
According to police, the facility manager of CEVA Logistics was conducting background checks on all employees when he discovered what appeared to be fake IDs held by two temp workers.
The manager contacted Tennessee Highway Patrol to investigate.
According to police records, the driver's license numbers and printed names "Mitchell Rosado Valle" and "Jonathan Barreto" did not match the driver's license database.
Upon investigating, the workers were identified as Francisco Ramirez-Teletor and Melvin Adonay Garcia-Beltran.
Teletor and Garcia-Beltran later told police that they did not enter the country legally and that the fraudulent documents were obtained in Puerto Rico.
Officials said the two became uncooperative after talking with police.
They were booked into the Metro jail on charges of forgery and criminal simulation.
