Teen shot while sitting on porch in west Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 19-year-old was shot in the chest while visiting family members in west Nashville on Monday night.

According to police, the teen was shot on a porch in the 3400 block of Indiana Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

The gunman remains at large. Police did not immediately release a suspect description.
