Metro police are investigating a bank robbery Monday morning at the Pinnacle Bank branch on West End Avenue.
Officers said a man believed to be in his late 30s entered the bank located at 2300 West End Avenue around 9:55 a.m.
He initially asked the teller about opening an account before passing her a robbery demand note and verbally threatening violence, police said.
The teller complied and the suspect fled.
He was last seen in the alleyway behind the bank wearing a light blue polo shirt, blue Dickey pants and black ball cap with gold lettering.
The man is described as skinny black man, approximately six feet, one inch tall.
Witnesses reported the robber also had a complexion issue characterized by white and dark spots on his face.
Police believe he fled west toward Centennial Park.
