FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

A 25-year-old Brentwood man faces charges after police said he threatened to shoot an officer who arrested him early Monday morning.

Spencer Hill was arrested at the Tiger Mart on Cool Springs Boulevard in Franklin after he became combative with officers, telling them him may have a gun.

While on his way to jail, Hill repeatedly directed racial slurs at the arresting officer, and told the officer that he was going to put a bullet in him.

No weapon was found on Hill at the time of his arrest, although he did tell the arresting officer that he is a gun collector.

He faces charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest.

A female companion with Hill, 35-year-old Tonya Gendreau, was also arrested and charged with DUI.
