The driver of a Metro school bus was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a fire extinguisher discharged Tuesday morning.
The Nashville Fire Department responded to the scene on Sixth Street at Summer Place in east Nashville around 8:30 a.m.
Officials said the bus was on its way to Warner Elementary School.
Another bus responded to the scene and took the children the remaining way to school.
An updated condition on the driver wasn't immediately known.
Authorities said the driver may have a previous medical condition.
