Deaths of husband, wife could have been suicides - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

Police believe a husband and wife found dead in their Antioch home Sunday could have committed suicide.

According to a report in The Tennessean, the woman was terminally ill and the man had repeatedly said he did not want to live without her.

The couple was found together in bed with empty pill bottles nearby.

Metro police spokeswoman Kris Mumford told the paper officers had to force their way into the secured home.

Police believe the deaths could have gone undetected for as long as two weeks.

A report from the medical examiner is pending.
