Christopher Sims, 25, was shot once in the chest and died.

Metro police are investigating after a heated argument between a couple turned fatal late Thursday night.
Officers responded to an apartment in the 900 block of Blank Street near Fisk University in north Nashville shortly before 11 p.m.
Upon arrival, police discovered Christopher Sims, 25, with a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.
Police questioned his girlfriend, Deverya Rose, 23, who later admitted to shooting him.
Rose told police that she and Sims were arguing when he put a gun to her head and grabbed her by her hair.
She explained he then pushed her head to the floor, during which time he laid the gun down. She told police she grabbed it and fired.
Sims was shot one time in the chest and died at the scene.
No charges were immediately filed against Rose.
The investigation is ongoing.
