TDOT announces plans to widen busy Smyrna roadway

SMYRNA, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced plans to expand a heavily traveled roadway in Smyrna.

The $28 million construction project will take place on a nearly four-mile stretch of Jefferson Pike between Nissan Drive and State Route 840.

Work is expected to begin next year.
