Police find man shot inside Clarksville home

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Clarksville police were called to a home Thursday morning in reference to a man shot inside of the residence.

The incident was reported just before 9 a.m. in the 100 block of Riverside Drive.

According to a witness account, there were sounds of a struggle inside the home before at least one gunshot was fired.

The witness reportedly called police after seeing the 24-year-old man lying on the floor and seeing two men fleeing from the home.

A K9 unit tracked the suspects to the area near Kelly Lane before the track was terminated.

Police said the suspects are described as a white male and a black male in their late teens or early 20s.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to his neck, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in stable condition.
