Isaac Creeping Along/Eventually Brings Us Some Rain

Posted: Updated:

Isaac was downgraded to a tropical storm Wednesday afternoon.  The system is still producing 69mph sustained winds with higher gusts and torrential rains continue to be pulled up from the gulf threatening even more flooding in southern Mississippi and across Louisiana.  Isaac is creeping to the northwest at 5mph.  THAT'S the problem!!

We will see showers south of I-40 diminish as the sun set this evening.  Lows will drop to the low 70s.

We will see some sunshine on Thursday but the clouds and some showers from Isaac will be pushing our way.  Highs will reach upper 80s if not 90 degrees.

While we certainly don't expect a washout for the Titans or Vandy game, you may want to "pack a poncho" in the case of a passing shower.

We'll have the latest on Tropical Storm Isaac and where he is headed next on News 2 at 10.
