A driver led police on a short chase before jumping out of his car and hiding in the woods early Wednesday morning in Bellevue.
Police began pursuing William Cahill, 22, shortly before 3 a.m. after an officer clocked him driving 85 miles-per-hour on a busy stretch of Highway 70S.
Cahill evaded police and led them on a short pursuit to the InTown Suites located in the 200 block of Old Hickory Boulevard.
There, Cahill jumped out of his white SUV and ran into the woods.
He was located behind the nearby Goodwill donation center a few minutes later and taken into custody without incident.
According to police, Cahill did not put the vehicle in park before jumping out, causing it to roll into a police cruiser.
No one was injured.
Cahill faces charges of evading arrest and driving without a license.
He was booked into the Metro jail on a $10,000 bond.
