Sounds pound Cubs at Greer Stadium

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville Sounds made it two straight over the Iowa Cubs at Greer Tuesday night winning 7-3.

It was a scoreless game until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Sean Halton blasted a three-run homer, his 16th of the season.

The very next inning saw Taylor Green belt another 3-run homer for Nashville to make it 7-1 to put it away.

It was the seventh homerun of the season for Green who spent much of the season with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Tyler Thornburg pitched five innings giving up just one run for his second win of the season.
