Transformer falls through roof of 18-wheeler

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

No one was injured when a transformer fell through the roof of a semi-truck's trailer Tuesday morning in Clarksville.

Clarksville police said the truck's driver, 57-year-old, Oran King, was traveling east on College Street when he swerved to avoid hitting a car, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

When the utility pole was hit, a transformer dislodged and fell through the roof of the trailer.

Traffic on College Street was disrupted for approximately two and a half hours.

No citations were issued.
