A deadly accident shut down White Creek Pike for hours early Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 1 a.m. on Whites Creek Pike at Nocturne Drive.
Authorities said a car with three people went off the road and struck a light pole.
Requisha Jones, 23, died after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
She was the front-seat passenger of the 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Candice Sanders, also 23.
Sanders and the other passenger, Jamaica Ewin, 19, were both transported to Skyline Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that toxicology tests will be conducted in an attempt to determine whether alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.
The family of Raquisha Jones has set up a memorial fund at First Tennessee Bank to help with funeral expenses.
The investigation is ongoing.
