HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -

Hendersonville police on Thursday arrested 45-year-old Thomas Goad in connection to two thefts at the Walmart store on North Anderson Lane.

Goad is suspected of stealing TVs from the store on two separate occasions earlier this month.

He was identified by police after receiving numerous tips from people who saw surveillance photos aired earlier this week on Nashville's News 2.

"Thanks so very much," Hendersonville police Sgt. Jim Vaughn told News 2's Andy Cordan, "we would not have solved [this case] if Channel 2 didn't air [the photos]."

Goad was charged with theft under $500 and booked into the Sumner County jail on a $10,000 bond.

Police said he remains under investigation for similar incidents in neighboring communities.
