Jamie Sr. and Kimberly Disman were killed in a car accident in June.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Three young boys' dreams came true on Thursday night as they watched the Titans take on the Arizona Cardinals during their first home preseason game at LP Field.
Eleven-year-old Jamie Disman Jr. and his 8-year-old twin brothers, Jakup and Jordan, also got to participate in a jersey signing with the players prior to the game and received hats courtesy of the team.
The children's father, Jamie Disman Sr., had previously promised his sons he would take them to a Titans game this season.
However, Jamie Sr. was unable to fulfill the promise to his boys.
He and his wife were killed in a car accident on June 6 after he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road, striking a tree. The couple was on their way to a doctor's appointment.
After Nashville's News 2 aired the original story about the unfilled promise, many viewers called offering to help get the children to a game, including the Tennessee Titans and LP Building Products.
"Of course, our great partners at LP also saw it and I think we both contacted Channel 2 and said, 'We want to make it happen,'" Titans Vice President of Community Relations Bob Hyde said.
The Titans and LP Building Products rolled out the red carpet for the boys and their family, inviting them to eat dinner and watch the game from a suite.
"It is wonderful. I am very proud for them. Very nice experience for them and I believe they are going to have a blast," said grandfather Ernie Jones.
Great uncle Tim Manuel added, "This has just been so awesome for the boys. This will just take their mind off everything that has happened, the tragedy and everything. It has just been totally awesome for them."
The three boys now live with their grandparents outside of Portland.
